James Van De Beek Reaches Divorce Settlement With Wife

It was reported today that James Van Der Beek, former star of the popular teen drama Dawson's Creek, has reached a divorce settlement with his wife Heather McComb.

Van Der Beek and McComb were able to amicably resolve their divorce through mediation, a type of alternative dispute resolution that many divorcing couples prefer due to its time and cost effectiveness.

According to court documents, Van Der Beek earns about $35,000 a month. He agreed to pay McComb $7,750 a month in spousal support. In return, McComb agreed to let Van Der Beek keep their home in Hollywood, and she will not be receiving any of the money he earns off residuals from his acting career and other various projects. The couple has no children, so custody and child support were not issues that needed to be addressed.

Van Der Beek ended their seven-year marriage when he filed for divorce in November, citing irreconcilable differences.
